On February 23 and 24, 2005, Foreign Policy magazine and the Corporacion Andina de Fomento hosted the fourth Latin American Economic Forum in Washington, D.C., bringing together almost one hundred Latin American business leaders, financial experts, politicians, and academics.

In an interactive environment, participants assessed the economic, social, and political prospects of Latin America while taking into account the region’s diversity and the different stages of development in each country.
